Balloon Flight Passenger Information

Flights are weather permitting! OUR FLIGHTS ARE WEATHER PERMITTING!
Our time frame is not negotiable. Sunrise  or Sunset will not wait for you. Meeting time is different all year round.  Please be aware of your meeting time and be prompt or early.

Passengers need to check in (over the phone) before your flight to check weather and meeting time.

You will not be cold in a HOT air balloon. Assume you will be the same temperature in the balloon as if you had stayed on the ground. Dress as if you were going for a walk or picnic. You will be outdoors for several hours outside.  If its cold out dress warm!

We start each flight at one of our many launch sites.  Our goal is to create a magical flight for you to remember forever.  While we can not control the direction the wind will take us on any given flight, WE CAN choose where to launch.  Since the weather can be different every day we have many launch sites all around the area.  The exact launch site is chosen for each flight depending on wind directions, Speeds, and what we will see along the way as well as potential safe spots to land down wind.   This is why we always meet at one location.  You will be provided with specific meeting site for your flight.

Where we go from the meeting site will be determined by the weather conditions at that time.  Your vehicle will be parked (safely) at the meeting site till we return.

REMEMBER!
This is an out door sport! Balloons need large areas to launch and to land. Hot Air Balloons need open fields like Farms, Cattle Pastures and hay fields and large open and often UN-KEPT land. These areas can have tall grass, Cows, Bugs, Ants and many other items associated with large open areas. O did we say OUT DOORS?..!! Launch and landing areas are determined by the wind direction and speed. Today's Launch site could be tomorrows landing site or we may not return to that location for weeks. SO... Assume your shoes will be soaked and have mud all over them and your pants will be wet all the way up to your knees.THEN when we land somewhere nice you will be thrilled and... when you wear sandals or flip flops you will understand why we are all laughing. O did we say OUT DOORS.?..!!!**  If you are flying in the winter time please be prepared to be out in the cold for several hours.  DRESS APPROPRIATELY

Weather and Cancellation Policy

Hot air balloon flights require extensive planning and coordination, including flight crew scheduling, equipment preparation, and weather monitoring. Each flight represents a significant investment of time and resources.

Flights are subject to weather and may be postponed or rescheduled at the discretion of the pilot for safety reasons, such as high winds, rain, or poor visibility. In these instances, we will make every reasonable effort to reschedule your flight at a mutually convenient time.

As such, your flight may be rescheduled, but not refunded

By booking with us, you acknowledge and accept this policy. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us deliver a safe and unforgettable experience.

FLIGHT WEATHER CHECK IN PROCEDURES

MORNING FLIGHT:  A final flight decision will be available at 8:00pm the night before. Call 612-472-3606 for the Go/No Go Decision, Meeting Time & Location.

AFTERNOON FLIGHT:  A final flight decision will be available at 1:00pm on the day of the scheduled flight. Call 612-472-3606 for the Go/No Go Decision, Meeting Time & Location.

  • You must be on time for the  pre-flight meeting.

  • If for any reason you are running late or lost, CALL (612) 472-3606 immediately!

  • Bring your cameras!

  • Comfortable Shoes (NO OPEN TOE SHOES)

  • Please print a copy of your confirmation email.

  • Print and SIGN and bring with you a copy of the
    MBR Waiver

  • You may also use our ONLINE Waiver.  EVERYONE in your Party must complete a waiver.

  • Be prepared to smile a lot!

  • There is no sensation of motion in a balloon.  No need to take any sort of motion sickness medication.

  • Flights are weather permitting.  The Pilots decision is FINAL.  Your safety is our badge of honor and we will not tarnish it.  Our pilots can ground a flight at any time they feel safety is an issue for any reason.

  • We have a 48 hour cancellation policy.  If you must...  You can call and cancel by phone only.

  • A great suggestion is to have a small snack before your flight.  This is a lot of activity and we are out away from civilization on most days.  There are only primitive restrooms at the meeting location.

  • Our Flight Time is determined by sunrise and sunset times.  WE CAN NOT WAIT for you.  Sunrise and sunset determines our schedule and we must stick to the timetable that mother nature sets.  Do not be late, we will leave without you!  We can not stop sunrise or delay sunset, and neither can you.  Be EARLY!

 REMEMBER:

If you fail to check in for your flight do not be surprised if you end up at the Meeting Location alone!  If the weather is not good we will not be at the meeting location.
