An incredibly unique EXPERIENCE over New Richmond. The team is amazing. We enjoyed the preflight “tour” of the balloon, history of 
ballooning and floating just above corn fields and high the treetops. Once in a lifetime experience with special personal touches.

Beyond my expectations.
We flew on 2025-04-12
All we had to was show up! Jodi & Tim explained every step of 
the process, taught us about how hot air balloons work and even allowed us to participate in inflating it and packing it up. Afterwards we celebrated with snacks and a champagne toast! Well worth every penny spent. I highly recommend!

Professional Family Fun
I was the lucky grandma that
gifted this ride to my son and two grand kids from California. I did not ride but enjoyed everything from land from beginning to end, Including a "graduation ceremony"! The family loved every second of their ride and did not stop talking after all! Jodi and Tim are fun, knowledgeable, professional and everybody besides fun, had an unforgettable educational experience. Thanks my dear Markets!

others There are no words. We flew on 2025-09-29 Here are our comments: Tim and Jodi were absolutely amazing to work with! Their communication was fantastic, the ride itself was breathtaking, and by the end of the evening they made us feel like family! Overall, this was one of the coolest things we’ve ever done as a couple and would highly recommend Tim & Jodi and their crew!

Wanted to give my wife something different for her birthday. Thought a balloon ride would be nice. Researched which companies are the best and chose Minnesota Balloon Rides because they had smaller groups. It was the best choice! We had a wonderful time. Very safe, professional, knowledgeable, everything was so great! Our Captain was great and so knowledgeable about ballooning and the area. Picked a spot to land from 13 miles away and hit it to a yard. Amazing...we would definitely do it again and recommend it to anyone!!!

I wanted to thank Tim for making my wife's birthday balloon flight an amazing experience she has a fear of heights which never bothered me (or her) once during the flight and we cannot wait to come back to and do it all again. Simply Amazing a must for everyone 100%

Our hot air balloon flight with the folks from Minnesota Balloon Rides was extraordinary! The flight was serene and the views were breathtaking. This is a must do! The Markert family has decades of experience and are highly skilled and professional...not to mention fun! We can't thank the whole team enough for the experience they provided us. We will be back!

What a great time! No anxiety whatsoever! Was the most peaceful experience that we have ever had. Tim was not only a great captain but was very entertaining as well. Flying in a hot air balloon has always been an item on my bucket list. Glad to say I did it and can't wait to do it again with the Minnesota Balloon Experience. Very professional and knowledgeable group! I actually surprised my fiancé with this adventure and he has thanked me over and over and said it was so awesome!! Of course he thinks I am to cool for coming up with the idea!!! Thanks again to everyone at Minnesota Balloon Rides for being a 5 star company and for making our experience something that we will never forget! See you next year!

This was, by far, one of the most thrilling and beautiful experiences one can ever have. Jodi & Tim the owners and our pilot, made the experience interesting, educational and absolutely fun. This was a Bucket List wish and Minnesota Balloon Rides not only made the wish a reality but one of the most memorable experiences of my life. Everyone associated with the company was professional and warm. Thank you Jodi! Did I say it was thrilling and wonderful? Thank you again Tim! I must fly again with Minnesota Balloon Rides...and soon.

I just have to say this was the best part of my vacation! Captain Tim was so knowledgeable and we learned so much from him. We didn't just have a 60 minute balloon ride. We learned about planning where to take off, we with setting up the balloon and also putting away the balloon. During this time, Tim was sharing his passion and knowledge. Even after the ride, we were still enjoying the whole experience. I would recommend Minnesota Balloon Rides over other companies I looked into just for the small group experience!!

Loved the ride amazing would do it again .our pilot Tim was very informative Is doing what he loves since he was a kid. Would highly recommend this company if you decide to take a hot air balloon ride. if you are scared of heights you won't be scared on this ride.

My first flight with Tim and Jodi, simply great! If you have never done it and think that it is too scary for you then you should stop hesitating and sign up now. Not at al like being on a high building or an open elevator. After this flight I want to do more. You will be as thrilled as us!
